Capsicum Re, the London-based specialist reinsurance broker, announced that Grahame “Chily” Chilton will rejoin the business later this year.

Chilton will work alongside CEO Rupert Swallow to drive global business development and help shape the strategic direction of the company as it enters its next phase of growth, said Capsicum Re in a statement.

This announcement comes on the heels of Arthur J.

Gallagher & Co.’s message on June 18 that Chilton, who is CEO of Gallagher’s UK-based brokerage and underwriting division, would be stepping down from the role later this year, a position he has held since February 2015.

Well known in the re/insurance market for founding and developing the Benfield Group, Chilton is the former chairman of Aon Benfield.
