    Abiola Ajimobi was a successful Nigerian politician, Senator, and former Governor of Oyo state.

    Abiola worked with National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Shell Petroleum, Nigeria as the CEO and Managing Director.

    He resigned from his position at the oil company in 2002, to contest election as a Senator.

    Abiola Ajimobi Biography

    Abiola Ajimobi was born on December 16, 1949, in Oja-Oba, Ibadan where he grew up.

    He is from a royal family, his father, Pa.

    Ajimobi was an Honourable member of the House of Assembly representing the Old Western Region. 

    Abiola’s uncle, Hon. N.A. Ajimobi was minister of works and transport in the Western Region. His grandfather was Sobaloju of Ibadan Land, 

    Education

    Abiola began his education at Saint Patricks Primary School in Oke-Padre, Ibadan but he changed to Ibadan City Council Primary School, Aperin, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.

    He proceeded to Lagelu Grammar School where he
