    With last week’s snowstorm approaching, Carol Vigoda Fuchs pleaded with her hale, hearty and independent 94-year-old father, Abe Vigoda, to come stay at her place in Woodland Park.

    The beloved actor obliged, arriving Thursday from his apartment on the Upper East Side.

    The Brooklyn-born Vigoda, whose hangdog, bushy-browed look was instantly familiar to fans of TV’s “Barney Miller” and the movie classic “The Godfather,” died Tuesday.

    He was 94.

    “He passed in his sleep,” Fuchs said. “I got up in the morning, he was still in bed, I said ‘Hello!,’ then I went to make a cup of coffee, went back to his room, looked at him, and realized he was gone.

    “This is a man who was never sick a day in his life,” she added.

    “He could’ve waited for his birthday” — Feb. 24.
